The COVID-19 situation has become increasingly more severe within British Columbia. As of March 26, 2021, the BC Centre for Disease Control reported 66 new cases, adding to the 725 province-wide. To minimize transmission, Key Club executives made the difficult decision to halt in-person meetings and service projects during these unprecedented times.
A statement has been made by President Yang Yu:
"The COVID-19 outbreak has resulted in BC declaring a public health emergency. With the situation constantly evolving, we feel that it has become necessary to suspend further Key Club meetings until further notice. For now, stay safe, stay at home, and make sure to wash your hands!"
